OASIS IN THE HEART OF THE CITY

These amazing homeowners wanted to maximize their outdoor living space with the help of our design team at By the Blade. They recently remodeled the kitchen and wanted to extend that "welcoming feeling" they had created to their backyard. The By the Blade team was up to the task! We created a roof structure extending out from the garage with a living space and TV to enjoy all year.
The 20' x 30' soft water pool has a gunite plaster finish. The pool has sitting ledges, swim outs, multiple lights, natural stone coping & pebble tee plaster. There is a 10'x 10' connecting hot tub, which has a spillover into the pool.

There is a concrete deck surface for all the hard surfaces around the pool & hot tub. The pool deck has a thermal bluestone ribbon incorporated into the spillover to help unite the design throughout the backyard.

The retaining walls around the backyard perimeter provide green space and privacy along the fence line. The walls are constructed out of natural stone with a dry stack effect.

The grill station is set into the landscaping and was constructed with the same natural stone to create a seamless transition. A permanent umbrella over the outdoor kitchen makes it accessible in all weather. The natural stone countertops are great for the Kansas City weather and can stand the test of time with our extreme seasons.

The "Green Egg" is a Kamado-style ceramic charcoal grill cooker that can heat up to 600 degrees. It is perfect for searing a steak or smoking a brisket. A "fire magic gas grill" completes the look for those nights when you need to get your grilling done quickly!

The synthetic turf area is adjacent to the patio for putting or recreation for multipurpose use; how fun to practice your putting while the kids are swimming in the pool.

Before we start any hardscaping, we always make sure that the drainage is taken care of by connecting the downspouts and grading all areas to prevent any low spots of water. We installed new irrigation to cover the new landscape areas, which tied into the existing irrigation system.

We installed an FX Luminaire low-voltage lighting system that illuminates certain project areas. There are over 29 fixtures, a Luxor transformer, and zone dimming & it is controllable from any smart device.
