To Our Valued Customers:

In late-March, Greater Kansas City community leaders issued a series of COVID-19 stay-at-home orders. In addition to providing lawn care services that eradicate, control or suppress weeds, pests and fungus, we are also a construction company. We hold general contractor permits on several large-scale construction projects that include detached garages, pool houses, roof structures, outdoor kitchens and inground gunite pools. As construction is still considered to be an essential service under the guidelines, By The Blade will continue to operate in accordance with all executive orders and Center for Disease Control guidelines.

We take the health and well-being of our community, customers, and team members very seriously. In an effort to keep our employees and clients safe, we have closed our outdoor studio/business office to the public. We are practicing social distancing when communicating with clients. Additionally, we will not be entering clients’ homes.

How Might This Affect My Service?

For many clients, this means a postponement of irrigation system start-ups and backflow testing, as many sprinkler systems require access to various locations within residential homes.

We are happy to schedule appointments for April 30 and beyond; however, we may be required to move those appointments to comply with executive order changes. Please note that we use compressed air to winterize irrigation systems. This requires these same systems to be started up in a sequence of steps designed not to damage them. If you are unfamiliar with how to re-start your system, we recommend that you wait for professional assistance as to not inadvertently damage pipes and lines.

On a positive note, we are grateful to be able to continue other limited activities that require the work of a single technician or small teams of employees who work outside. For our employees, we have provided disinfecting supplies and guidance, staggered work schedules and implemented additional workplace practices in an effort to keep everyone healthy so we may continue to provide you with the seasonal services you’ve come to expect from By The Blade.

We greatly appreciate your business and patience as we continue to navigate through these unprecedented, challenging times.

Sincerely,
Team By The Blade
